Blind Date Ideas
Not sure where to take a blind date? Make a bold choice, and go to a local Sushi shop – that’s what Greg and his date did. With a good setting, great food, and nice service, it ended up being the right choice and gave them a first date to remember:
I went on a great first blind date with a red haired woman at a local sushi shop called Yapona; we met at the front door to the restaurant, where we went inside and waited for a few minutes to be seated. The restaurant staff was very friendly, and placed us at a romantic wooden table for two, with matching wooden seats, and a candle burning on the table to help set the mood. This was a new experience for both my date and myself; not only had we never met in person before at the restaurant doors, we had never had sushi before either. We decided to be bold and order a sushi sampler item off the menu to split, but also to order more normal food in case we didn’t like the sushi. My date ordered a chicken salad, and I ordered tangerine steak. We had a very pleasant conversation getting to know each other with all the small talk one would expect on a first date, discussing favorite activities, educational and work background, future dreams and goals. My date had a dreamy look in her eyes, and we both had a pleasant time talking and laughing while we were waiting for the food to come out. When the food finally came out we were both delighted to try the sushi on the sampler, and we did so at the same time. We both had very uncertain looks on our faces just before putting the first sushi roll in our mouths, (we didn’t want to be messy) but we went for it and thoroughly enjoyed it! The rest of the dinner continued with great conversation getting to know each other, then when the bill came I paid it and tipped the staff well, then we went outside and kissed good night in front of the restaurant for everyone to see before parting ways for the night.
Great information! I’ve been looking for something like this for a while now. Thanks!
